The First Real Date

Yeah, it’s late again, but I just had my first date with Samantha. Wow! It was awesome. What did I ever do in my life to deserve this girl to talk into my life.

This time I picked her up at her place. When she opened the door, she blew me away. She wore a nice dress that showed off her figure. The first thing she did when she opened the door was hug me. Right then I knew it would be a great night.

We had dinner at a steak house. We talked and laughed and got a bit tipsy from the wine. Once that passed we went dancing. I hadn’t gone dancing in such a long time.

See, my fiancé could dance, but she just wouldn’t dance with me. It’s not that I have two left feet. I can dance. I’m no Justine Timberlake, but I can hoof it. Still, she would never dance with me. Not at weddings, not at concerts, not at parties. I’d always ask her, but she never accepted. I was wondering if she would dance with me at our wedding. I guess I’ll never find out.

Regardless, I danced tonight and had a blast. This girl was sent down from heaven from God himself.

When I took her back home, I walked her to her door. I swear, we laughed all the way up her walkway. She asked me come in, but I declined. It was such a great night, I was afraid of ruining it. Now sitting here alone in front of this computer, I’m starting to regret it. Still, we’re going out again Tuesday night. She’s going back home to Pennsylvania on Thursday for the Christmas break. I won’t see her for two week.

That’s cruel.
